Welcome to Muru-ku.com (“Site,” “Platform”), a startup ecosystem directory operated by 1337 Ventures (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our Site and its services.
By accessing or using Muru-ku.com, you (“User,” “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Muru-ku.com is a directory listing startups, investors, grants, events, resources, and startup jobs (collectively, “Listings”). The platform allows users to browse these Listings and submit their own content to be considered for inclusion.
2. User Accounts & Eligibility
To submit a Listing, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use our services.
3. User-Generated Content (Listings)
You are solely responsible for the content you submit to the Site (“User Content”).
- Submission: By submitting User Content (such as a startup profile, job opening, or event), you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to publish that content.
- Accuracy: You agree that all User Content you provide is accurate, truthful, and non-misleading.
- Vetting Process: All User Content submissions are subject to our internal vetting and approval process. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to accept, reject, edit, or remove any Listing for any reason, without notice. Approval of a Listing does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of its quality, legitimacy, or accuracy.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Site to:
- Submit any false, inaccurate, or misleading information.
- Post content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or hateful.
- Infringe upon any third party’s intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, etc.).
- Distribute spam, unsolicited advertisements, or chain letters.
- Use any automated system (bots, scrapers, spiders) to access or collect data from the Site without our prior written consent.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Introduce any viruses, malware, or other malicious code.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, and software (excluding User Content), is the exclusive property of 1337 Ventures or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The Muru-ku.com name and logo are trademarks of 1337 Ventures.
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- No Endorsement: Muru-ku.com is a directory. The inclusion of any Listing does not imply our endorsement, vetting of its financial viability, or recommendation. Users must perform their own due diligence before engaging with any startup, investor, or job posting.
- “As Is” Service: The Site is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without any warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be accurate, reliable, uninterrupted, or error-free.
- Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, 1337 Ventures (including its officers, directors, and employees) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or revenue, arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the Site or your reliance on any content provided therein. We are not a party to any transaction or agreement made between users of the Site.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 1337 Ventures and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your access to or use of the Site, (b) your User Content, or (c) your violation of these Terms.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site and your account at any time, for any reason, including for violation of these Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
